Helping people on the Somerset Levels

You will all be aware of the tremendous suffering of people living on the Somerset Levels. Can you ensure the needs of the people living there are included in Sunday intercessions at your church(es) for this coming Sunday.

A relief fund has been set up by the Royal Bath and West of England Society to support farmers flooded out of the Somerset Levels. Should you wish to hold a special collection or congregation members want to make a donation here are the details.

Offers of forage and bedding are being coordinated by the local NFU secretary who can be contacted on  south.west@nfu.org.uk
FCN have agreed to liaise with them about ensuring that only those in most need are allocated forage from this reserve.

Monitory donations can be made to http://www.justgiving.com/fcn/donate marking them "For Somerset Farmers".
